Assets and Solutions for Great Teaching
At Washington State University, a wealth of resources are available to faculty members as they guide undergraduate students to academic success.
New faculty at all campuses learned about international trends in higher education, syllabus requirements, the Six Learning Goals of the Baccalaureate, and backward design of courses in a presentation by Mary F. Wack, vice provost for undergraduate education, and Carol Anelli, entomology associate professor and recipient of numerous teaching awards. The title of their presentation is, "Teaching at WSU: An Informal Guide."
Tutoring is available to undergraduate students from a number of programs. "Where to Find Tutoring" (Fall 2009) lists several resources.
