The University-wide programs under the direction of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) support academic excellence for all students as well as foster outstanding teaching and learning in a research university setting.
Undergraduate Researcher Floricel Gonzalez Wins National Award
Floricel Gonzalez, 20-year-old WSU senior from Selah, Wash., won a top prize for her oral presentation in the microbiology category at the 2014 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS). Her story is also featured in the Yakima Herald-Review, her hometown newspaper.
45 Undergraduates Win 39 SURCA 2014 Research Awards
On March 28, 2014, students competed in eight categories. Forty-five took home monetary awards.
