Writing Program Among "Best"

For the seventh of nine years of rankings, U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" has placed the WSU Writing Program among the top in the nation for 2010.


Writing Contest

WSU student writers were invited by the WSU Writing Program to draft letters to President Elson S. Floyd, write on a CUB wall, and read their poetry on Oct. 20, National Writing Day.  The events were collectively called the "Cougs the Write Way" program.


22 Auvil Scholars

Freshmen through senior undergraduate researchers from many majors are recipients of 22 Auvil Scholars awards for fall 2009.  The total number of Auvil awards are more than 60 since the program began in 2006, says Dave Bahr, director of Undergraduate Research.


Honors'  Halverson Gets Service Award

WSU Honors College faculty member Rachel Halverson has received the Continued Distinguished Service award from the Wash. Association of Foreign Language Teachers.

WSU President, Provost Call for Academic Advising Retreat Dec. 2

All advisors throughout the university have been invited to attend an all-day Academic Advising Retreat from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the CUB Senior Ballroom on the Pullman campus.  President Elson S. Floyd and Provost and Executive Vice President Warwick M. Bayly called for the event.
